A Proactive Assistant Comes to Life
A cinematic assistant launch film turns an overloaded worker's night into a sequence of proactive, personal product proofs.
Field notes / why it works
The first 3 seconds flash the brand, show a physical disruption, and land on a tired human face before any dialogue; nine cuts in the first 10 seconds keep the setup brisk. The assistant appears around 0:25 and immediately proves value through completed actions at 0:28–0:34, then music, reminders, and a drafted response before the category claim and long logo hold.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A short narrative launch film makes an abstract assistant feel like a character. It opens with a stressful, tactile workplace moment, shows the limits of command driven tools, lets the product respond to a person, then demonstrates quiet proactive help in a home setting before the logo reveal. The promise develops through actions by about 0:28 and becomes explicit in the product card around 0:51–1:18.
Why it works
- The first 3 s contain three cuts: a 0.1 s cream logo flash, debris skidding across a checkerboard floor, and a person picking something up. This poses a visual question before dialogue begins at 0:03.1.
- The problem line at 0:05.8–0:10.7 is followed by roughly five seconds of mostly visual travel into the messy apartment. The quiet gap gives the turn at 0:16 room to register.
- The product speaks at 0:25.0, then demonstrates several distinct acts: schedule/notes at 0:28–0:34, mood/music and reminder at 0:38–0:47, and a prepared follow-up at 0:58–1:02. The claim arrives after proof.

| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 78.6 s · 30 fps |
| Pace | 39 measured shots, 38 cuts; 29.0–30.6 cuts/min allowing two uncertain changes; 34.4 picture changes/min; mean shot 2.01 s, median 1.57 s. The 13.89 s final shot lengthens the mean. |
| Script | 150 transcribed words; measured 125 wpm overall and 216 wpm during detected speech; 20 short sentences averaging 7.5 words. Some automatic transcription is uncertain. |
| Voice | Several voices (inferred from dialogue): tired young worker, warm reassuring assistant, and polished brand announcer. The single pitch statistic mixes speakers and should not be a casting target. |
| On screen | Mostly live action: tactile floor/diner, worker close-ups, apartment wides, laptop/UI inserts; roughly 75% human/environment and 25% interface/logo (estimated from sheets). |
| Captions | First half: small white sentence subtitles centered low, no kinetic highlighting. Assistant phase: white sentence text inside translucent charcoal rounded pills at bottom center. |
| Sound | Measured tonal bed at about −38 dBFS, roughly 12 dB below voices; no clear regular SFX on cuts. −21.5 LUFS integrated, −2.4 dBFS true peak. Mood described below is inferred. |
| Structure | Seven beats: physical cold open → human cost → need → assistant arrival → proactive montage → explicit positioning → serene brand card. No spoken sales CTA in the film. |
