Gemini Live: faster conversations, shown in use
A square feature-launch film that alternates real phone activation, conversational UI proofs, and spare benefit cards.
Field notes / why it works
A thumb opens the product in the first 2.5 seconds, making the polished UI demonstration feel grounded in use. Three sparse feature cards around 0:07, 0:31, and 0:47 divide the 57-second film into easy-to-follow proofs, while the consistent centered phone keeps attention on the changing dialogue. The final card at 0:54 turns those features into a user outcome.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A hand opens a conversational product on a real phone, then the film turns into a clean, designed sequence of phone demos and short feature cards. It promises a faster, more capable assistant through ordinary use cases rather than a feature list alone.
Why it works
- The first 2.5 seconds establish a real interaction: a thumb taps the phone interface before the polished demonstration begins.
- Benefits get a repeatable proof pattern: conversation on a centered phone, a black feature card, then another conversation (0:08.6–0:47.6).
- Large, sparse feature text at about 0:06.8, 0:30.6, and 0:46.7 gives viewers signposts between small UI details; the end line at 0:55.3 translates features into a user benefit.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1:1 square · 720×720 · 23.98 fps · 57.2 s |
| Pace | 10 measured shots, 9 cuts (9.4/min), 3 internal changes (12.6 picture changes/min); mean 5.72 s, median 4.26 s; longest 14.16 s |
| Script | 118 detected spoken words; 159 wpm over the full film, about 215 wpm during speech; 10 detected sentences |
| Voice | Several conversational demo voices: a casual questioner and a brisk, reassuring assistant (inferred from the dialogue); no external narrator |
| On screen | Approx. 2.5 s handheld phone activation, then centered phone UI demos and full-frame kinetic type cards; no presenter |
| Captions | Small response text inside the phone; one brief lower subtitle in the later language demo; large benefit words on separate cards |
| Sound | Tonal music-like bed (measured); estimated pulse near 101 BPM; dialogue carries demos; no clear cut-synced effects |
| Structure | Activation → speed claim and proof → longer-context claim and proof → language claim and proof → benefit end card; no explicit CTA |
