Uni-1 Material Montage and Proof Film
A one-minute AI model launch that races through textured wordmarks before slowing into a prompt-to-result demonstration and creative gallery.
Field notes / why it works
Seven cuts in the first three seconds repeat one name across radically different materials, then a dark particle sequence gives the category claim room to register. A readable prompt around 0:17.5 leads to a multi-card result at 0:33, and the 0:39–0:56 gallery extends that single proof into a range of uses.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A one-minute, widescreen product announcement that first makes a name feel ubiquitous, then states the new category, proves it with a visible prompt and output, and ends with a breadth-of-work gallery. The promise arrives as on-screen copy around 0:03 and the voice starts at 0:03.6; tangible product proof begins at 0:17.5.
Why it works
- The first 3 s compress seven cuts into material variations of one wordmark: pigment, embossed metal, textile, ink, rugs and a stage. Each frame is a fresh visual without a new idea to decode.
- The film changes pace after the barrage: the 0:03–0:16 dark particle section gives the category claim room to land, then 0:17–0:39 shows a typed request and generated visual boards.
- The 0:39–0:56 comic/sketch/gallery sequence widens the use case beyond a single demo; the 0:56.8 end card supplies a clean brand memory.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 23.98 fps · 60.4 s |
| Pace | 17 measured shots; 16 definite cuts, 15.9–23.9 cuts/min allowing uncertain changes; 22.9 definite picture changes/min; mean shot 3.55 s, median 2.5 s |
| Script | 64 recognized words; 72 wpm over runtime, 93 wpm while speaking; 9 short statements, no questions or second-person address |
| Voice | Low-register, assured adult narrator; spaced declarative delivery; exact pitch movement is unreliable because the bed may affect measurement (inferred) |
| On screen | Roughly 5% rapid material/wordmark montage, 23% dark particle identity, 39% product proof/UI, 27% creative gallery, 6% end card (estimated from timings) |
| Captions | Small white sentence subtitles near bottom center; intermittent large, centered uppercase brand/claim cards |
| Sound | Continuous tonal/music-like bed; cut accents on about half of cuts (measurement suggests hits or whooshes); −13.0 LUFS integrated, +0.3 dBFS measured true peak |
| Structure | 5 phases: material hook → thesis → product proof → creative breadth → hard-stop brand card; no explicit CTA |
