Field notes / why it works

An empty grid becomes a street and a highlighted shop within the first second, then a sales chart establishes an apparent win by 0:03. A rapid clock sequence at 0:06.5–0:07.5 resets attention before the yellow-backed money question at 0:10.6; coins, a ledger, and a scan dial turn the abstract cost problem into visible objects through 0:41.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A silent, widescreen paper-collage explainer turns a small business's apparent success into a question about its costs, then pivots toward a diagnostic solution. A cutout storefront, graph paper, hand-drawn finance symbols, ledger, and radar make abstract money flow tangible. The excerpt ends on a promise card at 0:48–0:50.6; it does not show a complete product reveal or explicit call to action.

Why it works

  • The opening assembles a street from blank graph paper and completes a short positive setup by about 0:02.5, giving the eye a simple object to follow.
  • Around 0:07, three rapid clock reframings interrupt the calm setup. At 0:10.6, a yellow-backed money question names the tension.
  • The imagery changes scale with the argument: coins and bills at 0:10–0:18, a ledger and hiring cost around 0:26–0:32, then a building blueprint and scanning dial at 0:36–0:41.
