11 Voices: a first-person portrait teaser

A cinematic docuseries teaser lets one participant's ambitions lead, then lands on a quiet voice-restoration mission card.

Field notes / why it works

The moving exterior and tiny title build occupy the first 3 seconds before the voice arrives at 3.62 seconds, creating a patient human reveal. Four connected train portraits carry the 46-word statement, with a one-second smile at 24 seconds before a 5.9-second black mission and disclosure card supplies context.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A restrained documentary teaser introduces a project with one moving exterior, then lets a participant's ambition and self-definition carry the story. A few intimate travel shots and a short mission card turn one person's statement into a larger reason to watch.

Why it works

  • The exterior moves continuously for 5.04 s, while a tiny white presenter line arrives around 0:00.75 and the title completes around 0:02.25. The delayed 0:03.62 first word gives the title room.
  • The 0:08.7 side-profile portrait and 0:16.0 rear view let a personal, 46-word monologue play without explanatory graphics. The close smile at 0:24.0 is a one-second emotional punctuation mark.
  • A nearly black card from 0:25.0–0:30.8 reveals the mission and voice-making disclosure after the human story, giving the project context without crowding the portrait.
