Expo Router v55 App Transitions
A silent, centered phone demo cycles between an app gallery and two full-screen destinations using native-feeling zoom transitions.
Field notes / why it works
The 0:00 gallery previews several destinations before the first card expands at 1.2 seconds, so the interaction proves the feature without narration. A second, visually different app opens around 4.8 seconds and exits as a tilted card around 6.4 seconds, making the transition system feel reusable rather than like a one-off trick. The phone and pale background stay fixed throughout all five measured screen changes, keeping attention on the UI motion.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A single centered phone shows a dark gallery of mini app previews, expands one preview into a full-screen app, returns, and repeats with a second app. The promise is visible at 0:00: one navigation system can carry distinct experiences through polished native-feeling transitions. There is no narration, music, caption, or title card inside the video; the accompanying post supplies the release context.
Why it works
- The gallery at 0:00 is both a menu and a preview of the payoff: several contrasting app surfaces are visible before any interaction.
- At about 1.2 s, a small light preview becomes a full phone screen, making the transition itself the proof.
- The second app at about 4.8 s changes the visual content and then exits with a tilted card around 6.4 s, showing that the behavior applies beyond one screen.
