Retell's Dot-to-Platform Reveal
A 33-second brand launch that turns a dotted logo into a visual system, then connects it to benefits and people.
Field notes / why it works
A tiny centered wordmark dissolves to a dot by 2.5 seconds, opening a visual question that expands into geometric construction before the first cut at 8.2 seconds. Three 0.5-second gradient flashes at 11.6–13.1 seconds give the color reveal impact, while a benefit card near 16.5 seconds and a people collage at 26.2 seconds connect the identity to use.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A restrained 16:9 brand launch film makes the old mark disappear into a few dots, builds a new visual system from those dots, then reveals a practical benefit and human use cases. The promise arrives as on-screen type around 16.5 seconds; the final logo and tagline resolve at 28.6 seconds.
Why it works
- The opening holds a small black wordmark on near-white for roughly 1.7 seconds, then reduces it to a dot by 2.5 seconds. That simple visual question sustains the unusually long first shot (8.17 seconds).
- Three 0.5-second gradient logo shots at 11.6–13.1 seconds interrupt the monochrome line drawings. The color arrival feels like a reveal because it has been withheld.
- The sequence turns identity into a customer claim at 16.2–17.5 seconds, then into abstract product pillars at 19–21 seconds and a people collage at 26.2–28.6 seconds.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 32.8 s at 24 fps |
| Pace | 14 shots; 13 clear cuts, 23.8 cuts/min (up to 31.1 counting four uncertain ripple changes); five internal steps; 33 picture changes/min; mean shot 2.34 s, median 1.6 s |
| Script | Sparse on-screen copy; no reliable spoken script. The automatic 11-word transcript is likely a music/noise false positive (inferred): 10 words have low confidence and several map to the same instant. |
| Voice | No confirmed narration; sound-led identity film. |
| On screen | About 80% designed vector/type/gradient/product-concept frames; about 7% liquid/texture imagery; about 7% people collage; remaining time is transitions (inferred from sheets). |
| Captions | No subtitles. Use centered headline cards, product labels, and a small end tagline. |
| Sound | Music-like bed, roughly 150 BPM estimate at low confidence; no clear regular cut SFX. Measured master: −14.2 LUFS, −0.7 dBFS true peak. |
