Starlight Precise 2 Before-and-After Launch
A wordless enhancement-model launch that repeats aligned split comparisons before a brief tool reveal and CTA.
Field notes / why it works
The result is readable from 0:00: a matched face split, corner labels, and a product title make the claim understandable without speech. Roughly 29 seconds of varied comparison subjects reinforce the same benefit, then the interface at 0:29.6 and URL around 0:34.4 turn proof into an action.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A nearly wordless product launch film opens on a large, emotionally readable before/after face. It repeats the same vertical split across increasingly varied subjects, states the improvement in short white claim cards, briefly shows the tool, and closes with a quiet call to action and logo.
Why it works
- The opening promise is visible at 0:00: two versions of the same face share one frame, with small “Original” and “Astra” labels and a large product title. The viewer can judge the claim before reading a paragraph.
- The split comparison stays consistent through roughly 0:29 while subjects change from human faces to fantasy and animal footage. This makes the effect legible without a narrator and keeps renewing the test.
- The film moves from evidence to action: product interface at 0:29.6, URL at about 0:34.4, and a spare brand card at 0:37.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 39.9 s · 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 12 measured shots · 11 definite cuts, 16.6 cuts/min; up to 21.1 if three uncertain changes near 0:33 are cuts · 21.1 definite picture changes/min · mean shot 3.32 s, median 3.19 s |
| Script | No reliable spoken words. One music cue was misread as a four-word transcript; the film communicates through on-screen claims. |
| Voice | None established; no narrator or talking-head speech. |
| On screen | About 29 s paired split-screen proof, then roughly 7 s tool/lifestyle CTA and 3 s logo. Several pairs appear generated or heavily processed (inferred); the format only requires controlled before/after assets. |
| Captions | No speech subtitles. Short white product and benefit overlays, generally centered or in the lower third. |
| Sound | Music throughout; rough tempo 117 BPM, low confidence. No clear sound-effect accents on most cuts. Integrated −21.5 LUFS, true peak −11.6 dBFS. |
| Structure | Result-first comparison → range of examples → interface → URL → logo. Payoff begins immediately; CTA around 0:34.4. |
