A news archive becomes a live prediction-market partnership
A 48-second partnership launch moves from small archival news footage to a fast broadcast-and-market proof montage, then lands on a mint claim and dual-logo card.
Field notes / why it works
The opening compresses decades with a year counter and small archival footage inside a black field (0:00–0:21), then the first cut releases into five full-frame news clips by 0:25. A chart, payout interface, public display, event odds, and headlines supply varied proof from 0:30–0:40 before a high-contrast claim and nearly five-second partner-card hold.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A horizontal brand film borrows the texture of decades of financial television, then jumps into a present-day proof montage before naming a data partnership. The promise is that a familiar institution's next phase is already visible in live market coverage and real-world outcomes. Its engine is a time-scale shift: tiny, grainy history in a black field gives way to full-frame news footage, a burst of examples, a stark thesis card, then two partner marks.
Why it works
- The opening makes time feel compressed: the white “For over” year counter advances from the mid-20s to the mid-30s during 0:00–0:03 while the archival picture stays small inside black space.
- The measured cut rate changes abruptly at 0:21: no cuts before that point, then 16 cuts in the remaining 27 seconds. Five broadcast appearances pass between 0:21 and 0:25, turning institutional setup into momentum.
- The 0:30–0:39 run gives several kinds of proof—market chart, app-style payouts, public billboard, and live event odds—before the 0:40 mint statement and 0:43 dual-logo payoff.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720 · 16:9 · 30 fps · 48.0 s |
| Pace | 17 detected shots, 16 cuts / 20.0 cuts per minute; 9 changes within the opening shot / 31.2 total picture changes per minute; mean shot 2.82 s, median 1.08 s |
| Script | 135 recognized spoken words; 207 wpm across the runtime, about 247 wpm while speaking; 15 short recognized sentences; no questions. Automatic transcript is especially unreliable in the archival montage. |
| Voice | A sequence of broadcast voices: formal, mid-register archival announcer; brisk reporters/pundits; confident contemporary executive sound bite. No single narrator. |
| On screen | Roughly 44% small archival footage on black; 40% full-frame broadcast, interview, chart, and event proof; 16% typography, press clippings, and end card. Shares are visual estimates from the sheets. |
| Captions | White, compact, sentence-case sans serif centered over the archival inset; simple white thesis lines on black or mint later. Source footage keeps native TV lower thirds. |
| Sound | Tonal, cinematic bed under speech (roughly 8.6 dB below the measured voice); archival and contemporary speech stays foreground; no consistently detectable whoosh pattern. −22.2 LUFS integrated, −4.4 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Five beats: history 0:00–0:21; modern media burst 0:21–0:25; thesis/person 0:25–0:30; concrete proof 0:30–0:40; statement and partner reveal 0:40–0:48. No spoken CTA. |
