Gum Pack to Bubble to POP
A square 3D gum film peels through tactile layers, inflates a bubble, and resolves to a stark branded title.
Field notes / why it works
The close-up pack starts opening within the first second, creating a clear visual question without captions or narration. Successive wrapper, foil, gum, and balloon textures carry the reveal through 6.1 seconds despite only one measured cut in 18.3 seconds. Around 13.2 seconds, the film switches to a bold, long-held wordmark that makes the metaphor and identity readable.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A tactile, close-up 3D product film makes a branded object behave in an unexpected way, then resolves to a spare identity card. The visible promise starts at 0:00 with a candy pack that seems ready to open; the larger idea arrives through the bubble and the final lifespan-themed line. The post describes the gum as a metaphor for how fast life goes.
Why it works
- The first frame gives a readable object, dense pink packaging, and a crisp yellow mark, then starts opening it within 0.25–1.00 seconds. The viewer can follow the action without narration.
- The material change is the story: shiny wrapper to silver foil to scored pink gum to a glossy balloon at 3.5–6.1 seconds. Each new texture rewards attention.
- At about 13.2 seconds, the detailed object yields to a bold “POP” lockup and a short thematic line. The visual joke and brand message arrive together.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1:1 square · 720 × 720 · 24 fps · 18.3 s |
| Pace | 2 measured shots · 1 cut, at 10.58 s · 3.3 cuts/min · 2 internal picture changes, around 5.75 and 13.2 s · 9.8 total picture changes/min · 9.17 s average shot |
| Script | No reliable narration. The machine transcript places 15 low-confidence words in 1.4 s at the end, an implausible 643 wpm; treat it as unverified audio rather than a usable script. |
| Voice | No visible speaker or speech-led structure; build for silent comprehension. |
| On screen | 3D product macro imagery for roughly the first 13 s, then a graphic identity finish. |
| Captions | None; small packaging print and the final title/tagline are designed into the scene. |
| Sound | Audio exists before the suspected speech; tempo estimate 144 BPM has low confidence. Exact music and effects are unverified by the sheets. Measured integrated loudness −16.7 LUFS, true peak +0.2 dBFS. |
| Structure | Pack → unwrap/reveal → inflate/transform → resolve → title. Payoff from about 13.2 s; no spoken or visible CTA. |
