A Home Robot Revealed Through Everyday Chores
A six-minute cinematic robot launch that moves from human-scale reveal to tactile engineering and first-person household task proof.
Field notes / why it works
The product and a human share the first frame, so its scale is clear before the launch line finishes at 0:04; a practical chores question follows by 0:15. The six-minute film keeps renewing its evidence, moving from lifestyle montage (0:20), to maker motive (1:14), tangible hardware detail (1:56), first-use dialogue (4:08), and task POV (5:08–6:00). Its 112 shots average 3.22 seconds, but longer speaking holds give the emotional and functional claims room to land.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A warm, cinematic product announcement starts with the product beside a human, then asks the obvious viewer question: what can it do? The film answers in widening circles: imagined benefit, maker motivation, tactile engineering, feature explanation, then a concrete in-home task montage. It makes an unfamiliar machine feel like a household object before asking the viewer to consider it.
Why it works
- The first frame contains the core contrast, person and robot at the same scale; the verbal launch arrives by 0:04 and the chores question by 0:15.
- The story changes mode before the six-minute runtime feels repetitive: a dialogue hook (0:00–0:20), wordless lifestyle/engineering film (0:20–1:14), personal motivation (1:15–1:56), another long sensory/technical passage (1:56–2:52), then explanation and demonstrations (2:52–6:00).
- The promise becomes observable: app at 3:53, spoken interaction at 4:08, chore scheduling at 4:35, and robot-view task footage from 5:08 onward.

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 landscape · 6:00.1 · 1280 × 720 · 24 fps |
| Pace | 112 shots, 111 measured cuts, 18.5–24 cuts/min allowing uncertain changes; 28.3 picture changes/min; mean shot 3.22 s, median 2.21 s; longest 16.96 s |
| Script | 682 machine-transcribed words, 114 wpm across full runtime. This includes lyrics and likely transcription errors; narration runs in bursts, separated by long musical passages. 44 detected sentences; 3 questions; about 8 second-person words per 100. |
| Voice | Alternating conversational launch host, curious customer, reflective maker, clear product explainer, and synthetic-sounding in-world assistant. Describe each by role, never by a real person's likeness. |
| On screen | Live-action people and product, warm home vignettes, technical macro shots, app/POV demonstrations. A rough time split (inferred): 25% people, 30% aspirational/home footage, 20% product/engineering detail, 25% demos. |
| Captions | No persistent speech subtitles. Brief small white task labels in translucent rounded pills appear in the POV demo from about 5:08. |
| Sound | Music-led passages with intermittent speech, an organic soulful section around 2:22–2:52, little evidence of cut-by-cut whooshes; measured −15.3 LUFS integrated, −0.6 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | 7 chapters: hook, aspiration, origin, sensory proof, specification, interaction, chore workflow; purchase CTA is in post copy, not a prominent readable final card in the supplied sheets. |
