Aptos Pastel Type and Data Launch Film
A 64-second brand launch that turns sparse pastel title cards into dense typographic data textures, then resolves on the logo.
Field notes / why it works
A color wipe changes the frame at 0.25 s, then a plainly readable launch statement lands by about 1.5 s. The film saves its most visually dense material for the repeated-word and data fields around 0:27–0:39, before restoring large, sparse word cards and an eight-second logo hold. That density-to-calm progression and the small, consistent pastel palette are reusable beyond this brand.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A widescreen, music-led identity announcement opens with a color wipe and one simple claim. It alternates spare typography and a graphic brand mark, then escalates into full-screen repeated words and geometric patterns before resolving to a quiet logo end card. The promise becomes readable by about 1.5 s; the rest makes the new identity feel like a system.
Why it works
- The first visual change arrives at 0:00.25, and the main claim is already readable by 0:01.5, so the film announces itself quickly.
- The first 23 s leave large fields of negative space around the text and mark; the dense word and data fields from roughly 0:27–0:39 have room to feel like an escalation.
- The film resolves that visual density with another series of sparse word cards from about 0:39–0:56 and an 8 s branded hold at the end.
