A Brand Mark Built Into a Product
A 16-second square identity film turns cursor-drawn geometry into a wordmark, color system, glossy mark, and branded cap.
Field notes / why it works
The mark assembles visibly in the opening 1.98 seconds, making a tiny geometric puzzle legible before the dimensional reveal. Three 0.5-second identity variants at 7.5–9.0 seconds speed up the middle, while the branded cap at 15.0 seconds turns the abstract identity into a concrete application.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A cursor constructs a simple geometric symbol on a vivid design grid. The finished symbol moves through a rapid identity system: dimensional mark, grid-based wordmark, color palette, glossy finish, then a physical product application. The implicit promise is to see a complete brand identity emerge from a few shapes; the product application pays it off at 15.0 s.
Why it works
- The 0:00–1:98 construction creates a visual question before showing the finished mark; lines and squares change within the continuous opening shot.
- The pace accelerates after the 5.5 s dark reveal: three 0.5 s wordmark variants at 7.5–9.0 s turn a single mark into a flexible system.
- It ends with a tangible use case: a cap silhouette at 13.0 s becomes a large, branded cap at 15.0 s.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1:1 square · 720×720 · 60 fps · 16.0 s |
| Pace | 10 shots; 9 definite cuts, 33.8 cuts/min; up to 41.2/min if two uncertain changes are cuts; 37.5 measured picture changes/min; mean shot 1.6 s |
| Script | Visual sequence, no reliable narration. The 14-word automatic transcript at 12.8–16.0 s is low confidence and may be music misrecognized as speech. |
| Voice | None required; no visible speaker. |
| On screen | 100% designed motion graphic and composited brand/product visuals; no presenter or screen recording. |
| Captions | None; brief brand text only. |
| Sound | Rhythmic music-like bed, roughly 121 BPM (low-confidence estimate); audible accents at some cuts are inferred from the loudness measurements. Integrated −12.7 LUFS; measured peak +0.4 dBFS. |
| Structure | Build → dimensional reveal → identity variants → palette and finish → product application; no verbal CTA. |
