Notion Agents: Assign, Watch, Done
A sparse illustrated launch promise becomes a long, cursor-led proof of an agent creating and updating a bug dashboard.
Field notes / why it works
The two-step illustrated hook delivers the labor-saving promise by 0:02 before the first cut at 0:04. The long UI sequence proves it twice: a prompt becomes a dashboard around 0:34, then meeting content changes the tracker by 1:13. A featured agent and role grid at 1:15–1:22 broaden that one example into a product system before the URL end card.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A minimal, illustrated promise hands off to a real-looking product workflow: choose an assistant, assign a concrete job, watch it gather source material, then inspect the finished artifact. The final seconds widen from one assistant to a whole library and end on a direct product URL.
Why it works
- The benefit is readable without sound by 0:02.0: a person assigns the job and several little agent faces appear with the answer.
- The film spends about 0:25–1:13 proving the claim with a prompt, a thinking state, a created dashboard, searches, a populated table, and a second update based on a meeting.
- The 1:15 agent card and 1:21 grid turn one demonstrated use case into a broader product promise before the 1:25 call to action.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9, 1280×720 · 90.0 s at 24 fps |
| Pace | 9 measured shots, 8 cuts, 5.3 cuts/min; 24 internal steps, about 21.3 picture changes/min; 10.0 s mean shot |
| Script | Sparse headline cards and UI text. No reliable narrator word count; the audio transcript is low confidence. |
| Voice | No intelligible film narrator. Possible brief meeting audio inside the UI demonstration is uncertain. |
| On screen | Approx. 15% illustrated white-space cards; 68% product UI and cursor motion; 17% final character/library/CTA cards (estimated from shot boundaries). |
| Captions | None; centered headline cards and native UI labels carry the story. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, upbeat music-like bed; about 121 BPM is a low-confidence estimate. −15.2 LUFS integrated, −1.1 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Promise → customize assistant → assign job → show generated result → extend job with new source → completion → breadth → CTA. |
