Field notes / why it works

The first 0.5 seconds pair a three-panel narrative image with a readable feature title and a brief panel interruption. A fast meeting sequence at 0:09.5–0:13.4 leads into a seven-second annotated overhead example at 0:15.3, then a visible social payoff at 0:22.4. Sparse white headlines make the 28.1-second film understandable without verified narration.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A 28-second, music-led feature launch uses a tiny cinematic story as the result, then reveals that short notes and drawn marks can direct it. It starts with an arresting three-panel scene, moves through two characters meeting, shows a marked-up overhead scene, then pays off with the finished social moment and a compact brand card.

Why it works

  • The first 0.5 seconds alternate a three-panel platform scene with a single panel against black; the centered feature title is readable by 0:00.5.
  • The story supplies an outcome before the explanation: two people meet at 0:09.5–0:13.4, while the visual instruction appears over the dinner scene at 0:15.3–0:22.4.
  • Four short benefit statements and prompt doodles carry the message without needing narration; the payoff at 0:22.4 turns the instruction into a social scene.

ScriptSparse headline and callout copy; no verified narration. The automated 11-word transcript conflicts with the visual edit and is likely music misrecognition.
VoiceNone reliably established; design for silent viewing

CaptionsNo speech captions; centered white benefit headlines and small white instruction bubbles
SoundContinuous rhythmic music-like bed, measured tempo about 134 BPM with modest confidence; no clear cut SFX
StructureHook → solitary character → encounter → simple-input claim → visual prompt example → result → brand end card
