Claude for Chrome: Quiet Browser Reveal
A silent browser-assistant launch that moves from a serif status card through three UI tasks to a calm benefit line.
Field notes / why it works
The complete availability line is on screen by 0.25 s, then a doodled cursor turns the sparse card into a browser reveal at 2.35–9.4 s. Three distinct page contexts at 14.6, 18.4, and 21.8 s keep a fixed assistant panel visible, making the final across-tabs benefit at 24.8 s feel demonstrated rather than merely claimed.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, 16:9 product announcement starts with a restrained availability line, turns a drawn pointer into a character, then lets a browser assistant demonstrate three distinct tasks. The final card states the broader benefit. The promise appears in text by 0:00.25; the product context arrives by 0:12.4.
Why it works
- The first 2.35 seconds leave a single serif line in generous empty space; the line finishes almost immediately, then the viewer has time to read it.
- At 2.35–9.4, a hand-drawn cursor becomes a bridge into a real browser toolbar and side panel. The character gives a small human gesture to a screen-based launch.
- At 14.6, 18.4, and 21.8, the same sidebar appears beside map, food, and form workflows. Three different surfaces support the “works across tabs” payoff at 24.8–32.0.
