The headline becomes readable by about 0:00.75 while the same face cycles through multiple hair edits by 0:02.6, making the feature claim visible without sound. Matched subjects clarify the half-second cuts, and the gallery broadens at 0:02.6, 0:04.6 and 0:06.1 before a 2.13-second final visual gag at 0:12.9.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, square feature announcement shows a rapid gallery of surprising image transformations under one persistent, centered promise. The opening uses a face with successive hair edits; the middle widens to scene and character substitutions; the final image is a whimsical visual punchline.
Why it works
- The promise is readable by about 0:00.75, while four looks of the same face appear by 0:02.5. The headline tells viewers how to interpret the changing pictures.
- The edit covers 16 shots in 15 seconds (about 60 cuts/min), but matched subjects make several changes instantly understandable: one face at 0:00–0:02.6 and one dog across 0:04.6–0:06.1.
- The examples escalate in variety after 0:03.6, then the final comic image holds for 2.13 seconds from 0:12.9. That longer hold lets the punchline register.
