Opal arrives on Android
A 23-second dark-stage launch film builds from a wordmark reveal to phone UI proof and a store CTA.
Field notes / why it works
The one-word opening delays the identity reveal until about 0:02 and resolves the Android announcement by 0:04.8. Four phone treatments from about 0:07.6 to 0:19.0 show context, blocked states, and rewards while the black stage stays consistent; a separate CTA lands around 0:20.1.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A restrained launch announcement turns one word into a logo and platform reveal, then shows the product on several floating phones. It ends on a single download action. The central promise becomes clear by about 0:05; the middle proves it with actual interface imagery.
Why it works
- The opening withholds the product for roughly 2 seconds: “Introducing” gives way to the logo around 0:02 and the full Android announcement by 0:04.8.
- Four successive phone treatments from about 0:07.6–0:19.0 renew the image while keeping a stable black stage.
- The call to action gets a separate, uncluttered card around 0:20.1, with a glowing store badge below it.
