Deel AI Workforce: Extra Hands at Work
A 46-second workplace launch film turns an extra-hands gag into rapid task-specific UI proof and a human payoff.
Field notes / why it works
The 0:00–0:04 locked-office gag makes a capacity promise visually before the 0:06–0:09 oversized product reveal. Five short UI shots around 0:18–0:31 ground the claim in tasks and results; the edit then slows to 3.7–4.4-second human shots before a three-second logo card.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, widescreen workplace launch film begins with an impossible physical metaphor for more capacity, acknowledges the joke, then announces the product. A quick series of human scenes and legible interface cards turns a broad claim into specific tasks; a people-first payoff and brand card close it.
Why it works
- A locked wide shot lets the visual absurdity develop from 0:00–0:03 before the self-aware turn at 0:03.9.
- The giant announcement at 0:06–0:09 makes the product clear early, while task examples at 0:18–0:23 give the claim concrete meaning.
- The pace peaks around 0:15–0:29, with ten shots in roughly 14 seconds, then relaxes into a four-second ensemble and 3.17-second logo hold.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 24 fps · 46.4 s |
| Pace | 21 shots, 20 definite cuts; 25.9–32.3 cuts/min allowing five uncertain changes; 27.2 definite picture changes/min; mean 2.21 s, median 1.88 s |
| Script | 122 spoken words; 175 wpm across whole film, about 220 wpm while talking; nine sentences; one opening question |
| Voice | Energetic, conversational adult narrator; medium pitch, clear commercial delivery |
| On screen | About 72% staged office scenes, 15% interface proof, 13% announcement/end cards (estimated from shot lengths) |
| Captions | No running subtitles; one oversized three-line announcement, plus product UI cards and final logo |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed about 12.7 dB below speech; cut accents are not clearly isolated effects; −16.2 LUFS integrated, −3.2 dBFS true peak |
| Structure | Physical gag → self-aware turn → product reveal → capability montage → task proof → measurable benefit → human payoff → brand card |
