Field notes / why it works

The opening push makes the phone interface fill the frame by about 1.0 seconds, then a single uninterrupted clockwise turn at roughly 1.7–2.5 seconds proves the orientation animation itself. The landscape browser stays on screen and a query begins by 3.1 seconds, showing that the transformed view remains usable. The saturated blue backdrop and dark UI keep the product silhouette clear without captions or speech.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A single composited shot shows a phone over an abstract blue backdrop. The camera pushes into its portrait screen, the phone rotates to landscape without a cut, and a browser/keyboard interaction continues in the new orientation. The post copy states the feature; the video supplies the visual proof.

Why it works

  • The phone is legible as the subject at 0:00, with a large, uncluttered backdrop and no competing headline.
  • The push from roughly 0:00.5–0:01.0 makes the interface the focus before the orientation change at roughly 0:01.7–0:02.3.
  • Portrait and landscape states occupy the same continuous shot, so the viewer can judge the smoothness of the transition directly; typing at 0:03.1 gives the transformed screen a functional payoff.
