Morphing Particle Attractors

A continuous interactive 3D capture turns a glowing particle globe into increasingly complex attractor forms and ends inside the cloud.

Field notes / why it works

A bright, centered sphere is readable at 0:00, and its first morph begins around 0:01, making the interaction clear before any explanation. One continuous 42.9-second take changes form and palette around 0:11, 0:20, and 0:29, then moves into a dense purple particle close-up from roughly 0:33 to the end.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A single 3:2 screen capture starts with a dense, glowing particle sphere and lets it transform through progressively stranger attractor shapes. The visible button and the small orbit/zoom instruction frame the spectacle as something viewers could control; the camera eventually moves close enough that individual particles become the subject.

Why it works

  • A bright core within a dark particle globe is readable immediately at 0:00, before any explanation.
  • The first large morph begins around 0:01 and resolves into a hollow, radial form by 0:02; later form changes around 0:11, 0:20, and 0:30 renew attention without a cut.
  • The late push from a whole-object view at 0:30 to colorful particle detail at 0:34–0:42 rewards continued viewing with scale and texture.
