Droids terminal-style access reveal
A silent 14-second product announcement builds from typed monospaced text and dim code texture to an access reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The title unfolds in layers from 1.25–2.8 seconds, then two numbered claim lines make the product category readable by 5.9 seconds. A near-black reset around 6.8–8.8 seconds sets up the access message at 8.8–10.7 seconds. Eight internal picture changes give a single silent composition rhythm without cuts.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A nearly black screen slowly reveals a product announcement through monospaced type and dim ASCII-like data texture. The name appears first, the category claim follows, then a brief reset leads to an availability payoff. The promise is legible by about 5.9 s and the access announcement lands around 9–10.7 s.
Why it works
- The opening spends roughly 1.25 s on near darkness, then types a large headline from 1.25–2.5 s, creating a clear reveal rather than a crowded first frame.
- One high-contrast hierarchy carries the message: product name at 2.5 s, two numbered claim lines by 5.9 s, availability by 10.7 s.
- Eight measured internal picture changes over 14.1 s keep a single composition moving without cuts; the dark data texture supports the software theme.
