Type a video edit, then watch the assistant work

A 32-second Descript launch film turns typed editing requests into a quick tour of Underlord's range.

Field notes / why it works

A six-word promise resolves by about 2.3 seconds before the interface appears at 3.2 seconds. Typed jobs and submit-button close-ups at 8.3–16.1 seconds make the capability concrete, while the prompt-card wall at 16.1–19.2 seconds expands the possible uses. A visible assistant response at 22.8–25.5 seconds supplies proof before the brand close.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A compact product announcement makes a broad promise in kinetic editorial type, then shows the product's assistant accepting plain-language jobs. It widens from one request to a wall of possibilities before returning to a specific response and a quiet brand sign-off. No presenter is needed; readable UI and motion carry the story.

Why it works

  • The opening finishes a six-word promise by about 2.3 seconds, with one to three words appearing at a time on a saturated purple field.
  • At 8.3–16.1 seconds, oversize typed requests and tight crops of the submit button turn an abstract capability into a visible action.
  • The prompt-card wall at 16.1–19.2 seconds expands the scope quickly, while the response at 22.8–25.5 seconds brings the viewer back to one concrete interaction.
