Field notes / why it works

The 0:00 restaurant wide establishes a believable scene while a glowing blue outline and a giant brand title at 0:01.8 create an immediate visual question. Profile and suggestion overlays at roughly 0:09, 0:20 and 0:33 demonstrate the product through the characters' dialogue; a long hold before the 0:52 drink reveal turns that apparent success into a reversal. The 25-shot edit stays cinematic, while 30 in-shot graphic changes keep information moving without frantic cutting.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A polished, dialogue led microfilm puts a product interface between two people on a first date. The protagonist appears to know private details because an invisible assistant surfaces them, but a real world interruption exposes the lie. The brand gets a demonstration, a joke, and a cautionary twist inside one scene.

Why it works

  • The 0:00 wide shot establishes a believable restaurant while a blue frame around one diner creates a visual mystery; the brand name arrives at 0:01.8.
  • The assistant provides increasingly specific prompts at 0:08.9, 0:20, and 1:08–1:14, so its capability is demonstrated inside the dialogue rather than explained.
  • A 10.48 second speech gap around 0:35.9–0:46.3 lets the audience read the social stakes before a server's drink mix-up at about 0:46–0:53 breaks the protagonist's cover.
