Founder Tools, Revealed by a Quiet Calculator
A silent finance-tools launch turns a founder problem into a line-drawn calculator and a sequentially highlighted tool catalog.
Field notes / why it works
The problem is legible at 0:00, and a pale calculator rising around 0:02 turns that abstract need into a visual bridge. At 0:07.2, a lavender split layout reveals the answer; successive list highlights at about 0:10.7, 0:14.3, and 0:17.9 give several offerings a moment of focus without adding cuts.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A broad audience problem appears as a quiet, centered statement. A line-drawn object associated with the problem rises from the bottom, then the screen becomes a colored two-column catalog: a short answer on the left, named tools on the right. No speaker, music, or footage competes with the text.
Why it works
- The opening states the founder's decision problem at 0:00 before naming a product; the object arriving at about 0:02 makes the subject concrete.
- At 0:07.2, the light field changes to muted violet and the composition divides into a promise and a catalog. This is the main visual payoff.
- From about 0:10.7 to 0:17.9, successive tool names receive brighter emphasis while the left promise stays fixed. One layout can show a range of offerings without a cut.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 60 fps · 21.4 s |
| Pace | One continuous designed shot; 0 confirmed cuts; 0–2.8 possible cuts/min from one uncertain change at 0:03.6. Mean shot length 21.45 s. The measured first picture change is 1.65 s; the sheet also shows continuing animation and list emphasis that the detector did not count as new shots. |
| Script | On-screen copy only: one three-line problem, one two-line answer, and a rotating/emphasized feature list. Spoken words and wpm: none. |
| Voice | None; no person appears. |
| On screen | 100% motion graphic: typography, thin-line calculator, gradient background, and split catalog. |
| Captions | No subtitles. The words are headline and feature labels. |
| Sound | No audio track: no voice, music, or effects. |
| Structure | Three beats: problem → object transition → tool catalog; no explicit spoken or on-screen call to action. |
