Field notes / why it works

A 4.08-second opening wide establishes a believable social scene before an incongruous visitor becomes the question at 0:22–0:30. Phone inserts at 0:36–0:39 and 0:58–1:05 provide clues, while a recurring magenta portrait gives the joke a distinct visual language. The 11-second final card converts the story into the Org Profile benefit only after the misunderstanding is resolved.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A 90-second, 4:3 ensemble comedy starts as a warm living-room scene and introduces a strikingly out-of-place visitor. Dialogue and reaction shots make the mix-up legible before two brief phone inserts and a magenta fantasy doorway connect the joke to a product feature. The direct promise arrives in the final 11 seconds: separate identities for group and personal events.

Why it works

  • The first wide shot lasts 4.08 s without a cut or graphic, so the viewer has time to learn the group and notice the interruption as a genuine change in the scene.
  • A saturated magenta, theatrical figure at 0:30.2 breaks from the amber domestic palette; the same motif returns at 0:41.4 and 1:18.9 to bind the gag to the end card.
  • The product gets concrete proof in phone close-ups at 0:36–0:39 and 0:58–1:05, while the explicit Org Profile promise is saved for 1:22.6–1:30.
