A Robot Sorts Packages at Work
A silent, 92-second logistics capability film that builds from sustained robot footage to labelled perception and correction proof.
Field notes / why it works
The opening use-case title resolves by 0:00.75 over parcels already in motion, making the purpose instantly legible. A 20.06-second wide hold lets viewers inspect the real operation; closer angles and three brief labels at 1:09–1:25 then connect camera input, barcode handling, and correction to visible actions.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A widescreen, largely monochrome product film shows a physical system doing a specific job. It names the use case in the first second, lets the operation run for over a minute, then uses three short labels at 1:09–1:25 to explain the capability before a quiet brand close. The promise is visible performance, rather than a narrator's claim.
Why it works
- The opening title is readable by 0:00.75 while parcels are already moving; viewers know the use case before the first cut at 0:03.5.
- Long continuous looks at the actual operation (shot 2 lasts 20.06 s) make the process inspectable. The cut pace rises around 0:50–1:20, where the hands, packages, and camera view become specific.
- The late first-person view and labels at 1:09–1:25 answer how the system locates, reads, and adjusts around parcels; the explanation arrives after visual evidence.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9, 1280×720 · 92.2 s at 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 13 shots, 12 measured cuts; 7.8–10.4 cuts/min allowing four uncertain changes; mean shot 7.09 s, median 5.71 s; first cut 3.545 s |
| Script | No spoken script. Opening: two-word use-case title plus small product name. End: three concise technical callouts and a logo. |
| Voice | None; two isolated transcript detections are not credible speech. |
| On screen | Nearly all industrial live-action demonstration: conveyor-wide, robot-medium, overhead, detail, and apparent onboard camera view; final graphic end card. |
| Captions | No speech captions. Sparse white labels, chiefly near the final quarter. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, music-like bed (inferred), roughly 99 BPM; −10.0 LUFS measured; no clear cut-synced effects. |
| Structure | Title → uninterrupted operation → denser overhead proof → camera/recognition/correction labels → logo; no explicit CTA. |
