Starlight Restoration Before and After
A 47-second launch film keeps synchronized before-and-after footage on screen while explaining the motion problem its product addresses.
Field notes / why it works
The result is legible in frame one: a soft source and cleaner output share a fixed divider, so viewers can judge each example for themselves. The narration spends roughly 22 seconds establishing a motion-consistency problem before naming the product, then broadens the proof across source types at 0:30–0:38. Seventeen shots and 10 internal changes keep the repeated comparison format moving without hiding the evidence.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
An announcement film keeps a degraded source on the left and an improved version on the right while a calm technical narrator explains a long-standing problem, reveals the product at 0:22, and asks viewers to comment at 0:40. The payoff is visible throughout; the claim arrives after the viewer has inspected the evidence.
Why it works
- The opening astronaut close-up compares soft and clear imagery immediately; the promise is visible at 0:00, before any product claim.
- A specific limitation occupies 0:05–0:21, with moving footage making frame-to-frame defects legible; this gives the reveal at 0:22 a reason to exist.
- The split layout persists through roughly 16 footage shots, so each new subject is another test rather than decorative B-roll. The narrator moves from old footage to professional material at 0:30–0:37.
