A Brand Identity Expanding from a Single Dot
A wordless 110-second motion identity film that grows a tiny mark into typography, colour, photography, and a final brand system.
Field notes / why it works
The 709-frame opening and 621-frame identity chapter create rest around 8–29-frame typographic bursts, so scale and density carry the story without speech. A single point becomes rings, type, coloured discs, photographed world and a collage; 27 of 38 shots use a locked camera, making each material change legible. Only 2 of 37 transitions land close to the tracked beat, so picture events rather than musical quantisation drive the cut.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
(Inferred) A nearly empty field lets one tiny mark become punctuation, geometry, a type system, colour, a photographed world and finally an application collage. Its promise is that a single design rule can organise every surface of {{PRODUCT}}.
Why it works
- The first shot lasts 709 frames, while the type atlas uses shots as short as 8 frames: extreme duration contrast.
- Plate 5 finds 27 locked shots; the motif changes inside a stable page, so every substitution reads clearly.
- Shots 26–36 move from flat circles to real landscapes and people; shot 37 demonstrates the system on applications before the last card.
