Dark Mode Switch Reveal
A 17-second feature launch turns a giant toggle into a dark-mode reveal, then proves the change across app screens.
Field notes / why it works
The oversized switch makes the feature clear by 0:01.25, while its shape wipe changes the entire palette before showing any app UI. A dark phone screen at 0:03.3 gives proof, three rapid theme choices at 0:07.4–0:10 make the feature feel controllable, and a single-to-three-screen montage at 0:10–0:13.3 shows its breadth. The 4.1-second end hold leaves the availability line readable after the faster middle section.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A playful switch opens in a pale world, flips the whole film into dark mode, then hands attention to actual app screens. A three-option settings selector makes the feature feel controllable; a short UI montage proves the outcome before a restrained end card.
Why it works
- The promise is legible before the first cut: a large outlined toggle and “Switch” appear by 0:00.25, and the darkness overtakes the frame around 0:01.
- The abstract metaphor becomes product proof: the wallet screen arrives by shot 3 (0:03.3), the System/Light/Dark selector by 0:07.4, and multiple app views by 0:11.8.
- Ten shots in 17.4 s give the reveal momentum, while the last 4.1 s leave time to read the closing line.
