Loom’s Illustrated Workflow World
A 66-second motion-graphic product film that turns meeting friction into an airy recording-and-sharing journey.
Field notes / why it works
The first 9 seconds make calendar and email overload tangible before a bright product reveal around 0:11. From 0:21 to 0:54, a single evolving graphic journey pairs capture, editing and sharing claims with waveforms, timeline controls and teammate portraits; 7 internal picture changes keep it active despite only 7 detected cuts. The red record control at 0:59 reduces the final ask to one action.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished 16:9 motion-design ad turns familiar work friction into a colorful world of floating calendars, mail, waveforms and faces. The narrator names the pain in the first sentence (0:01–0:11), introduces the product at 0:11, then makes the benefits visible through one continuous sequence of animated objects and interface fragments before a direct free-trial card at 0:59.
Why it works
- The opening builds recognition before a pitch: visual calendar clutter is on screen from 0:00, while the voice names email and redundant meetings by 0:07.
- The benefit claims have matching pictures: the 0:21–0:54 section shows a voice waveform, recording/edit controls, avatar bubbles and shared panels while the narration moves from capturing to editing to sharing.
- A strong visual hierarchy survives a sparse cut rate: only 7 detected cuts in 66 seconds, but objects, camera travel and 7 internal step changes keep the illustrated space moving.
