Dream Lab: From Prompt to Four Designs

A 13-second feature launch turns one image prompt into a vivid result, then shows it reused across four design formats.

Field notes / why it works

The product name lands by 0:01.2 amid bright sample-image tiles, making the promise legible before the interface appears. A prompt and style choice lead to a full-screen result around 0:10, then four rapid application screens from 0:11.0–0:13.4 turn the visual payoff into a practical use-case argument. The final four holds shrink to 0.96, 0.48, 0.48 and 0.50 seconds, adding speed at the finish.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A luminous title reveal announces Dream Lab over floating sample images. A compact UI then turns a typed idea and style choice into a vivid image; the final 2.4 seconds show that image carried into four Canva designs.

Why it works

  • The promise arrives visually by 0:01: a large product name and attractive sample images before any UI explanation.
  • The 0:02.4–0:11.0 prompt → style → result sequence gives a legible cause and effect in under nine seconds.
  • Four outputs from 0:11.0–0:13.4 broaden the value from image generation to actual design work, with cuts accelerating to roughly half-second holds.

Pace8 measured shots; 7 cuts; 31.4 cuts/min, or up to 40.4 if two uncertain changes are cuts; mean shot 1.67 s; 35.9 picture changes/min
ScriptNo reliable spoken script. Automatic transcription reports 17 words, but nine are low confidence and the phrases do not correspond to the visible launch.
VoiceNo confirmed speaking voice; let the product text carry the message.
On screenDesigned animation and UI throughout: title collage, prompt field, style menu, image reveal, four screen mockups. No presenter.
CaptionsNone. Large headline text and small functional UI labels only.
SoundContinuous tonal music-like bed; no clear cut-synced effects. Measured −13.5 LUFS, −0.1 dBFS true peak.
StructureFour beats: name → make → reveal → reuse. Payoff at 0:10.1; no explicit in-video CTA.
