A comic AI assistant launch with real workflow proof
A three-minute product launch film moves from mock-epic history to a two-character objection skit and a concrete editing UI reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The first 7.9 seconds use oversized science imagery and no speech, setting up the dry grand-history joke. At 1:02–1:41, a quick two-character objection ends in an ordinary click that hands the viewer into the real UI; at 2:16–2:29, a fresh tease pays off with a visible grid of clip results. Word-level cyan subtitle highlights keep 524 words of dialogue and demo legible.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A product launch masquerades as a grand historical announcement, then punctures its own seriousness with a two-character office skit. The product promise becomes concrete only after the skeptical character asks how it works: a real interface walkthrough shows the assistant handling a tedious edit and creating publishable outputs.
Why it works
- The first 6.7 seconds use a satellite dish, book, spacecraft-like image, and planet to make the scale feel absurdly large before anyone speaks at 0:07.9.
- At 1:02–1:41, a wardrobe and angle change turns the product objection into a small dialogue, then physically points to the UI as the answer.
- The second demo is held until 2:16–2:29: a “coolest stuff” tease leads to a visible grid of clip candidates, which is more persuasive than another feature list.
