Field notes / why it works
A runner becomes a whole world at the cut on frame 53, then the continuous boundaries at frames 496 and 512 keep the physical action flowing into a luminous public change. The locked human exchange in shot 16 slows the film before the wide release at frame 1152; the dedication is delayed until the aerial image gives way to black.
