Words That Move Work Forward
A speech-free Grammarly brand film that turns short benefit claims into a vivid sequence of logo motion, color swaps, and kinetic type.
Field notes / why it works
A small symbol resolves from a blank white frame, then the first benefit lands on a full green field by about 2 seconds. Eleven changes inside six measured shots keep the 44.1-second film moving, while the lime type at 25.3 seconds, mint claim at 33.2, and purple CTA at 36.8 create distinct late re-hooks. The final white logo lockup gives the dense typography a clean finish.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A 16:9 brand film sells a writing product through silent-reading claims, flat-color fields, kinetic type, and a small logo that becomes a full-screen visual motif. It promises faster progress through better words: the first benefit is legible by about 2 seconds, and the final card turns that promise into action.
Why it works
- The opening spends about 1.4 seconds assembling a small green symbol on white, then immediately replaces it with a high-contrast claim. That gives the mark recognition without a long logo hold.
- Eleven internal changes keep six measured shots active; with five cuts, the film produces about 21.7 picture changes per minute despite a 21.9-second final shot.
- The back half changes scale and color sharply: giant dark type on lime at 25.3 seconds, a compact white card on lime at 29.5, mint at 30.9, then a purple CTA at 36.8.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 44.1 s at 30 fps |
| Pace | 6 measured shots; 5 cuts, or 6.8 cuts/min. Including four uncertain visual breaks gives 6.8–12.2 cuts/min. Eleven internal steps; 21.7 total picture changes/min. Mean shot 7.36 s; median 5.49 s. |
| Script | No spoken words. Sparse on-screen copy, usually 1–5 words per card; a longer benefit appears in two lines. |
| Voice | None. The measured pitch values are not a voice profile because no speech was detected. |
| On screen | 100% designed motion graphics: logo, kinetic type, flat fields, abstract pattern, CTA pill. No people, footage, or product UI visible in the sampled frames. |
| Captions | None; all text is the message itself. Bold sans serif, usually centered or slightly left of center. |
| Sound | Music is detected, rough 150 BPM with moderate confidence. Cut accents are likely (inferred from audio level jumps). Integrated −7.7 LUFS; measured true peak +0.8 dBFS. |
| Structure | Six broad shots: logo, promise, positioning, pattern reset, idea-to-action, fast typography/CTA/end mark. CTA around 36.8 s; final lockup about 39.9 s. |
