Email Wallet Onboarding, From Friction to Easy
A 37-second OpenSea feature launch that turns wallet frustration into a clean email-to-purchase flow.
Field notes / why it works
The first 12 seconds escalate a simple purchase into wallet clutter, recovery words at 0:06, and an angry reaction at 0:10.8. A hard cut at 0:12.2 clears the frame for a short promise, then email entry, approval at 0:24.6, and a one-word payoff at 0:30 prove the easier path. Fourteen internal picture changes keep the mostly continuous animation moving despite only one measured cut.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
An animated product launch film makes an old task feel irritating, then cuts to a cleaner way to finish it. A single centered purchase object anchors both halves: extra wallet steps and a warning face obstruct it early; a short email-to-confirmation sequence resolves it after 0:12.
Why it works
- The problem is acted out, not explained: a button turns into wallet connection, recovery words fill the frame at 0:06, and an angry face covers the item at 0:10.8.
- The reset at 0:12.2 replaces visual clutter with a white field and a short promise, then shows email entry at 0:16.3.
- The payoff is evidenced by a purchase approval card at 0:24.6, pending state at 0:25.6, and the one-word resolution “Easy.” at 0:30.
