Rabbit r1: From Silhouette to Hero
A 57-second hardware launch film that withholds the full device, accelerates through tactile details, and ends on a clean hero view.
Field notes / why it works
The 13.9-second opening holds on near-black fragments, then the centered full device at about 0:18 resolves the visual question. From 0:32.7 to 0:46.3, lens, camera, wheel, and repeated wheel forms quicken the rhythm before the larger hero view at 0:49–0:52; that slow-to-fast-to-calm structure and restrained orange/black/gray look can transfer to another physical product.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A nearly black opening makes the object a shape before it becomes an answer. One clean front reveal around 0:18 leads into an increasingly fast sequence of tactile details, repeated parts, and a final floating hero view; a quiet end line names the relationship to the product. The price and subscription claim live in the post text, not as a film caption.
Why it works
- The first 13.9 seconds stay in one shot, but red edges and physical details emerge at 5.45, 7.25, and 8.25 seconds. The silhouette creates a curiosity gap without explanatory copy.
- The small, centered full-product view at 0:18.1 resets scale after close details; a second view at 0:23.3 moves close enough to expose the wheel and camera.
- From 0:32.7 to 0:46.3, lens, recessed camera, wheel, and repeated wheel shapes create a fast material-study sequence before the 0:49–0:52 hero view. This is transferable to any product with three distinct physical features.

| Reference | |
|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 56.7 s at 30 fps |
| Pace | 13 measured shots, 12 certain cuts; 12.7–20.1 possible cuts/min allowing seven uncertain visual changes. Mean shot 4.36 s, median 2.87 s; six within-shot changes give 19.1 picture changes/min. |
| Script | No dependable spoken script. Nine machine-transcribed words all have low confidence, including one implausible 11-second word. No on-screen narrative copy until the end card. |
| Voice | No reliable narrator or person is established by the supplied evidence; design the reusable version without one. |
| On screen | 100% stylized product imagery and graphic abstraction; no presenter or UI walkthrough. |
| Captions | None. One small, light-weight end line at 0:54.8. |
| Sound | Audio is present; rhythmic music is suggested by the measured ~170 BPM beat estimate (confidence 0.6). No clear recurring cut effects. −13.2 LUFS integrated, −0.3 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Dark partial view → front reveal → feature study → rhythmic repetition → floating hero → line-only end card. No in-film CTA. |
