A New Computer: Documentary Chapter Teaser
An ultrawide team documentary turns a company pivot into a cinematic promise, brief UI proof, and a final release date.
Field notes / why it works
A huge white promise holds over moving dark architecture for 7.47 seconds, making the ambition unmistakable. Candid team voices and a 0:42 thesis statement build credibility, while the rapid UI burst near 1:49 and ordinary task after 2:07 give the abstract vision proof. The 3:42 date card closes the story with a specific reason to return.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A cinematic, ultrawide mini documentary announces that a company is entering a larger chapter. A stark promise in the first frame opens a question; fragments of candid team discussion, city footage and a very short product proof sequence answer why the change matters, while a final date withholds the full launch.
Why it works
- The first 7.47 seconds keep a large, white, condensed headline fixed over a dark moving stairwell, making the promise readable before the documentary starts.
- At 0:42 the founder archetype states the larger ambition; the 0:47 city card reframes the rest of the film as a future vision.
- Around 1:49, rapid UI and web examples convert abstract talk into visible possibility; the date card at 3:42 gives that possibility a deadline.
