Phone (2) light-reveal launch film
A square, mostly wordless hardware launch film that moves from staged glyph lighting to an organic product encounter and a minimal glowing close.
Field notes / why it works
The opening spends 3.2 seconds tracing a black object with small white light segments before the full phone becomes legible, creating a visual question without copy. At about 0:10 the film flips to a pale field and an unexpected organic interaction; a close contact shot at 0:15.9 and eight internal changes from 0:20.6–0:28.6 keep the sustained product view active. The final 7.9 seconds reduce the object to its recognizable light motif.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A square, almost wordless launch film first makes a black device legible through a sequence of tiny white light strips, then reveals its entire form. A pale-background encounter with an unexpected organic form gives the object a visual story; the film resolves into an isolated glowing motif. The promise is sensory: there is a distinctive object worth inspecting, rather than a list of specifications.
Why it works
- The first three seconds reveal only fragments of light on black, so the viewer has to assemble the silhouette. The first cut waits until 3.2 s.
- The restrained 0:00–0:09 dark product study makes the switch to a pale field and tentacles at about 0:10 conspicuous. That interaction occupies roughly 20 s.
- Six cuts across 37.8 s leave room to inspect the design; ten internal visual changes keep the long holds active, particularly from 20.6–28.6 s.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1:1, 720×720 · 37.8 s at 25 fps |
| Pace | 7 shots, 6 cuts, 9.5 cuts/min; 10 internal picture changes; 25.4 picture changes/min total; 5.4 s mean shot |
| Script | No reliable intelligible narration or on-screen copy. An automatic eight-word transcript is likely a false positive: several words have low confidence or zero duration. |
| Voice | None verified; design for a voice-free film. |
| On screen | Product and light study for ~10 s; product with organic interaction for ~20 s; glowing motif/end image for ~8 s. No presenter. |
| Captions | None. |
| Sound | Audio is present; measured −11.4 LUFS and −1.7 dBFS true peak. Music style cannot be established from the still sheets. No clear cut-linked sound accents. |
| Structure | Conceal → reveal → contrast/interaction → abstract closing image. No in-video spoken CTA verified. |
