Bear 2: From First Thought to Anywhere
An 81-second voice-free launch film turns a typed idea into a guided product tour and cross-device creative payoff.
Field notes / why it works
The near-blank first 3 seconds make the typed thought at 0:03.8 a focused reveal, then large writing text at 0:11 leads into concrete note and planning examples from 0:18–0:40. A raw phrase becomes formatted output at 0:41–0:49, then the same creative world expands to laptop, phone and stylus scenes through about 1:14 before a quiet logo hold.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A white canvas gathers a few pencil strokes, then a short phrase types into an interface. A friendly drawn mascot guides a rapid tour of actual product uses; the phrase returns as a richer document and spreads across devices before a small logo end card.
Why it works
- The first 2.75 seconds withhold the product: thin curves assemble on near-white, making the typed thought at 0:03.8 the first clear point of focus.
- The middle gives variety without leaving the product: writing, tags, planning, checklist, and markdown formatting appear from about 0:11–0:49.
- The last third broadens the promise from an editor to a portable creative workspace: laptop at 0:53, phone at 0:55, stylus drawing at 0:59, a roaming mascot at 1:02–1:06, then a logo at 1:17.

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720 · 25 fps · 81.4 s |
| Pace | Measured as 3 long motion sequences, 2 hard cuts, 1.5–2.2 cuts/min including one uncertain change; 11 internal step changes, 9.6 picture changes/min including cuts; mean detected segment 27.14 s. The animation within each sequence is much busier than this count suggests. |
| Script | No intelligible speech. Short on-screen phrases and interface labels carry the message. WPM: not applicable. |
| Voice | None; readable with sound off. |
| On screen | Animated whiteboard/character art plus designed product UI; no presenter or live footage. |
| Captions | No speech captions. Typed headlines, tags, and interface text replace them. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed around −19 dBFS; rough tempo 150 BPM at low confidence. Integrated −14.9 LUFS, true peak −0.9 dBFS. |
| Structure | Canvas/typed idea → mascot → use-case tour → formatted result → devices/creative range → brand mark. Final logo from about 1:17. |
