Field notes / why it works

A recognizable page at 0:00 becomes a spare question by 0:01.4, making the transformation legible before any explanation. Four rapid visual styles around 0:10.8–0:12.9 create desire, while the slower control demonstration at 0:14.2–0:23.6 and share flow at 0:31.5–0:37.7 show how the result is made and passed on. The 3.68-second logo hold gives the 35-cut montage a clean finish.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A familiar web page appears in its ordinary state. A short question suggests that the viewer could take control of it; a rapid sequence of vivid restyles and small interactions proves the idea, then a simple share action and a quiet logo close the film. The promise becomes explicit through centered type around 0:01.8–0:06.3, while the product mechanism is demonstrated from about 0:14 onward.

Why it works

  • It starts with an instantly recognizable, neutral social profile and replaces it with large, spare type by 0:01.8. The shift from familiar UI to an ownership question creates the hook without explanation.
  • The video alternates design spectacle with practical controls: four music-page looks at 0:10.8–0:12.9, then a contextual action panel at 0:14.2–0:23.6. The interface proves that the visual changes are user controlled.
  • The payoff scales from editing one page (0:26.9–0:29.7) to creating and sharing a reusable customization (0:31.5–0:37.7). A logo arrives only after the workflow is understood.
