A transaction speed-up, from pending to replaced
A silent phone UI walkthrough makes a complex transaction speed-up legible through one continuous original-versus-updated state sequence.
Field notes / why it works
The amount changes within 1.5 seconds, immediately giving the viewer a task to follow. A pending card at 0:07.9 establishes the problem before the speed-up sheet at 0:09.5, and the Original/Speed Up tabs at 0:14.5–0:20.4 make the replacement relationship visible in one item. Nine in-screen changes provide a clear progression without editorial cuts or audio.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent phone mockup demonstrates a transaction from entry through confirmation, pending status, an optional speed-up, and a final comparison between original and replacement. The promise is visual clarity about a complicated state change; it is made by the action itself and becomes explicit at the speed-up sheet around 0:09.5.
Why it works
- It starts inside the task: amount entry moves from $0 to $10 in the first 1.5 seconds, so the viewer has an immediate object to track.
- It gives the pending state roughly two seconds at 0:07.9 before introducing the remedy at 0:09.5.
- The payoff is a comparison, not just a success message: the Original and Speed Up tabs at 0:14.5–0:20.4 show a single transaction story with both histories.
